Father of Molecular Microbial Pathogenesis Dies at 84

Stanley Falkow who was known as the Father of Molecular MicrobialPathogenesisdied on May 5, 2018. His age was 84 when he died at his home in Portola Valley, California.His wife, Lucy Tompkins, who is also a professor at Stanford said that cause was complications of myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare disorder in which the bone marrow fails to generate blood cells properly.

Dr.Falkow won many major awards in his carrier including Robert Koch Prize, Marjory Stephenson Prize, Paul Ehrlich and Ludwig Darmstaedter Prize, Howard Taylor Ricketts Award & National Medal of Science by President Barack Obama in a ceremony in the East Room of the White House in 2015. p>
